Africa Hunt Lodge allows the opportunity to hunt and harvest Monster South African Giraffe. The Limpopo Province of South Africa is the premier destination in the World to hunt the Giraffe. Year round, we offer hunts for awesome Trophy Giraffe. There are no seasonal restrictions on hunting the Giraffe in South Africa, which makes it a suitable trophy year round.
Our hunters typically hunt the South African Giraffe in conjunction with a 7-10 day African Safari. One of our Experienced and Licensed Professional Hunters will be your guide during your Giraffe Hunt. We typically hunt Giraffe Safari Style, Spot and Stalk, or by Still Hunting if you are a Bow Hunter. We can accommodate all methods of Hunting for Giraffe including Rifle, Bow, Black Powder, Crossbow or Handgun. We can accommodate hunters of any age and experience level.
The Giraffe which we hunt on our South Africa Concession are the biggest in the World. You can expect a 20+ foot Giraffe Bull on average when hunting with us.
The Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis) is an iconic and distinctive African mammal known for its long neck and legs. The Dark Bull Giraffe is one of the largest game animals in South Africa, and is highly sought after.
What do Giraffe look like:
Giraffe are the tallest land animals, and adult males are usually up to 14-18 feet tall. The coat is a tannish color with reddish brown spots. A giraffes long neck is usually 6-8 feet long, but despite its length, they have the same number of neck vertebrae as most mammals. The Dark Bull Giraffe reaches heights of 19.5 feet and weighs up to about 4,000 pounds!
Giraffe Habitat:
Giraffes can be found in a variety of habitats across South Africa,, like savannas, grasslands, or open woodlands. They are very adapted to regions with scattered trees and shrubs.
Giraffe Diet:
Giraffes are herbivorous and feed on leaves, flowers, and fruits from tall trees such as acacia. Their long necks and tongues are helpful for reaching high branches.
Behavior of the Giraffe:
Giraffes are very social animals that live in towers. Towers are peaceful groups of giraffes that consists of males and females. Giraffes aren’t at all territorial when interacting with other towers. They face threats fro predators like lions and crocodiles, defending themselves with their hight and their kicks.
Giraffe Reproduction:
After a gestation period of 15 long months, the female giraffe will give birth to a single calf. These calfs can stand shortly after birth, and sone can even quickly learn to run!

Our trophy hunting rates include professional hunter services, care of trophies and delivery to taxidermy, transfers from Johannesburg International Airport, as well as a memorable stay in one of our 4 or 5 Star South African Hunting lodges. Non-hunting guests are welcome to accompany the Hunters.
