Witklip Lodge
Whitestone (English)Witklip is our main lodge which is priced into our Hunting Packages. This is a 4 star Lodge located in the middle of one of our most Famous Hunting areas. We have a large dining area with fire place, swimming pool, brand new delux bar and outdoor fire pit for hunting clients to enjoy. This is a lively lodge where we like to socialize in the evenings until you're ready to call it a night. We have 9 private suites available at our main Lodge, Witklip, all complete with separate bathrooms, toilet, tile shower, etc.
Our rooms are connected by an open-air walkway which takes you to our bespoke dining area, and fire-pit where we relax at the end of a long African Safari Day. Most of our rooms are next to each other for close families and friends, and we also have recently added (2) large suites with a connecting door which is perfect for a family with young kids. The Main Lodge is directly surrounded by fruit trees where you can find sneaky monkeys hanging out in the lemon and mandarin trees early morning. The Africa Hunt Lodge family has been operating from Witklip since the 80's, and over the past 2-5 years, we have made many upgrades to classify this lodge as a 4 Star Property located in the middle of the African Bush.
Meals
Breakfast is served typically around 6:30am. We serve coffee, tea, juice, as well as a variety of eggs, breakfast meats, oatmeal and fruit. Lunch is typically packed by our cooking staff and taken at a water-hole with you PH and trackers in the middle of your hunting day. For Dinner, we all meet back at the lodge, and sit down for a proper South African size meal. Menu items typically consist of different types of traditional South Africa prepared game such as Impala, Gemsbok, Wildebeest, Jerky Pot (a south African specialty), accompanied by multiple side dishes, wine, and of course dessert. We will cater to those clients whom have dietary restrictions as well.
Laundry
Our Lodge staff will wash, dry and iron your laundry daily. There is no need to bring an outfit for every day of hunting, as you will end up only wearing about 2-3 different sets of clothes.
Processing Facility
We also have our trophy and meat processing facility located at the lodge where you can watch the skinners cape your animals, and salt your trophies in preparation for the taxidermist. We hang our own Jerky (Biltong as we call it), make our own sausage (Boerewors) as well as process our own meat here which we serve to our guests.
