The Ultimate All Inclusive Big 5 Hunting Package
The Ultimate Big 5 Hunting Safari: A 21-Day African Adventure Across Zimbabwe & South Africa
For many hunters, pursuing Africa’s Big Five (Elephant, Leopard, Lion, Rhino, and Cape Buffalo) is the pinnacle of a lifetime in the field. Traditionally, this requires multiple safaris, years of planning, and navigating complex logistics across different countries.
At Africa Hunt Lodge, we set out to change that.
We’ve designed a first-of-its-kind, fully guided 21 day Big 5 hunting safari that brings all five species together into one seamless, all-inclusive African experience. This is not just a hunt, it’s a journey across some of the most iconic landscapes on the continent, combining classic safari traditions with modern comfort and expert coordination.
A Safari Designed for the Serious Hunter
This exclusive package was built for hunters who want to experience Africa at the highest level without compromise.
From the wild, unfenced bush of Zimbabwe to the open Kalahari and the game-rich plains of Limpopo, each stage of the safari is carefully planned to give you the best opportunity at mature, trophy quality animals in the environments where they naturally thrive.
Everything is handled, from internal flights to trophy logistics, so you can focus on what matters most, Hunting!
The Journey Begins in South Africa
Your adventure starts with your arrival in Johannesburg, where you’ll spend your first night in a comfortable boutique hotel near O.R. Tambo International Airport. This gives you time to rest, reset, and prepare for the journey ahead.
From there, the real safari begins.
Zimbabwe: Elephant and Leopard in Wild Country
On Day 2, you’ll fly north to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, where the first leg of your Big 5 safari unfolds.
Here, you’ll pursue two of Africa’s most iconic and challenging species:
Elephant, in an area where they are considered over-populated for African standards
Leopard, hunted over bait in true classic safari fashion. Pre Bait is included, but you are welcome to harvest more.
You’ll stay in a traditional safari camp set in wild, unfenced country, just 45 minutes from Victoria Falls Airport. The area offers exceptional game density and an authentic hunting experience that reflects the heritage of African safaris.
Up to 14 days are allocated for this portion of the hunt, allowing the time needed to pursue these animals properly.
A Moment at Victoria Falls
After your Zimbabwe safari, you’ll take a moment to step away from the hunt and experience one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders.
You’ll spend one night in Victoria Falls, with time to enjoy sightseeing and take in the scale and beauty of this iconic destination often called “The Smoke That Thunders.”
It’s the perfect pause before continuing your Big 5 journey.
The Kalahari: Hunting the King of Africa
Next, you’ll return to South Africa and travel to our Kalahari concession in pursuit of the lion.
This hunt focuses on a trophy blonde mane lion, well-adapted to the arid conditions of the region. For those seeking something even more distinctive, a black mane lion upgrade is available.
The Kalahari offers a completely different hunting environment withopen terrain, red sand, and a raw, untamed feel that makes the experience both challenging and unforgettable.
Limpopo: Completing the Big 5 with a stay at Kudu Valley
The final leg of your safari brings you to Kudu Valley Safari Lodge, located near Thabazimbi in Limpopo, South Africa.
Here, you’ll complete your Big 5 with:
A Trophy White Rhino (included up to 22” horn length)
A Cape Buffalo Bull with hard bosses (included up to 42” width)
Kudu Valley combines excellent hunting with a more refined 5 Star lodge experience offering a comfortable, well appointed base as you finish your safari.
Both species can be upgraded if you are looking for larger trophies.
Understanding Trophy Export
One of the most important aspects of a multi-country safari is understanding how trophies are handled and exported.
Elephant & Leopard (Zimbabwe): Fully exportable. U.S. hunters may require additional import assistance, which we help coordinate.
White Rhino (South Africa): Fully exportable with advance permitting. A hunting resume is required for approval.
Lion: Exportable to most countries, but currently not importable into the United States. Many U.S. hunters opt for professional photo/video documentation or replica mounts.
Cape Buffalo: Fully exportable with no special permitting beyond standard procedures.
Our team works closely with experienced export agents and taxidermists to ensure a smooth process from field to final delivery.
What Makes This Safari Different
This is not a standard hunting package. It is one of the only opportunities available to Hunt all Big 5 species in one coordinated safari. You will experience multiple countries and ecosystems in a single trip and enjoy a fully guided, all-inclusive experience with no logistical headaches.
At $160,000 USD, this package represents not just value but access to something that is rarely offered in Southern Africa at this level.
When to Plan Your Safari
The best time to experience this hunt is mid-March through early June.
During this period, conditions are ideal as game movement is strong, weather is comfortable across all regions, and elephant and leopard hunting conditions are at their best.
Timing is critical for a safari of this scale, and this window offers the highest likelihood of success across all five species.
A Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity
There are hunts you remember, and then there are hunts that define your career as a hunter. This is the latter!
The All-Inclusive Big 5 Safari with Africa Hunt Lodge is more than just a checklist of species. It is a fully immersive African experience, combining tradition, challenge, and world-class hospitality into one unforgettable journey.
